The menu is a testament to Sicilian excellence, showcasing a variety of dishes that highlight the region’s bountiful produce, fresh seafood, and time-honored recipes. It’s simple yet full of bold flavors, each bite embodying the very essence of Sicilian cooking. If you’re craving seafood, the spaghetti alle vongole is a must-try-perfectly cooked pasta with tender clams, garlic, and a touch of white wine, all combined in a delicate, flavorful sauce.

For those with a taste for meat, Osteria Sciapò also offers a selection of hearty meat dishes, including involtini di carne (stuffed beef rolls), which are a crowd favorite. The beef is tender and perfectly seasoned, showcasing the skill of the chefs in crafting rich, comforting flavors. The restaurant’s wine list is equally impressive, offering a range of local Sicilian wines that complement the food beautifully. • A great restaurant - on my last night, otherwise I would come here again and again. I had pasta with anchovies, sardines, pine nuts, fennel, dried raisins. Quick service, good atmosphere and great value

  • Great restaurant with very friendly service. The food was excellent. We had the grilled squid and swordfish and both were really good. The bruschetta was delicious, and the house white wine was also great. We liked it so much that we booked a table again for the next day. Definitely one of the best restaurants in Palermo.

  • Our favorite dinner in Sicily. The spaghetti with mussels, and swordfish steak were delicious. The friendly staff answered all our questions. The house wine was also very good. Great value as well.

  • What a great dining experience. Make a reservation because this place was full by 7:30 on Friday. The staff was very accommodating and made ordering easy for those you speak little to no Italian. We have been in Italy for a month and this may have been the best meal of the trip. Starting with the mussels there were enough of them to food four people of just 14 euros. Then we had pastas that were all homemade and a type that is a Palermo specialty. We ended with what was the best tiramisu of the trip. The house wine was also very good and very cheap. The top notch food and service you get for the price is unbelievable. I would have paid double had they asked. Great place!!

  • Without a doubt, this was the best restaurant we visited during our seven-day stay in Palermo — and we only wish we had discovered it before our last day. The pasta was unforgettable, the kind that delivers a truly mind-blowing experience. Booking a table online was simple, and the atmosphere was warm, relaxed, and beautifully designed. It was also the only place that served olive oil with bread, a small but delightful touch. The staff were friendly, and it’s clearly a favorite among locals. We can wholeheartedly recommend this osteria and would return in a heartbeat — that’s a promise. The only restaurant to earn a full five stars from us during our trip. Did I mention that the prices were not inflated? Well worth the money.
